Tata Steel observed the 121st birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Jehangir Ratanji Dadabhoy (J.R.D.) Tata with reverence on Tuesday at its Central Office in Joda.
The commemorative event was attended by senior company officials, employees, and union representatives. The celebration began with Mr. Rajesh Kumar, Head of Tata Steel Joda, offering floral tributes to the legendary industrialist and father of Indian civil aviation. This was followed by all present paying homage and recalling the life and contributions of J.R.D. Tata.
Similar commemorative events were organized at Joda East Iron Mine, Khandbandh Mine, Manganese Group of Mines, Kalamanga, Gandhalpada Project Office, Bichakundi, Nilachal Office, and the Joda Ferro Alloys Plant.
A tribute programme was also held at the Sponge Iron Plant in Bileipada.
To mark the occasion, various activities such as walkathons, tree plantation drives, quiz competitions, and other employee engagement programmes were conducted across the company’s operational areas.
The day served as a reminder of J.R.D. Tata’s vision, values, and his immense contribution to nation-building and industrial growth in India
