Bolani, August 30 (Special Reporter): After remaining inactive for several years, the Bolani Mahila Samity has once again come back to life. In a recently held meeting, new office bearers were unanimously elected. Malla Usha has been chosen as the President, Manisha Anand Kumar as the Vice President, Poonam Bhaskar and R. Maheshwari as the Secretaries, while Dr. Maya Majhi has been selected as the Treasurer.
With the new leadership in place, the committee has decided to revive its earlier initiatives. From September 1, 2025, various co-curricular activity classes will begin for children at the Mahila Samity Building [JNRC].
📌 Class Schedule:
Karate – Wednesday & Friday, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Dance – Monday & Tuesday, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Arts & Crafts – Sunday, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Earlier, the Samity used to provide training in musical instruments, Hindustani classical singing, self-defense, fine arts, and various dance forms at a nominal fee. However, due to several reasons, these facilities were discontinued in recent years, leaving children in this mining region deprived of extracurricular exposure.
The news of restarting these classes has brought excitement and joy among children, parents, and local residents. Citizens have extended gratitude to the new team of office bearers, calling this initiative a big gift for the younger generation of Bolani.
This move is expected to play a vital role in the holistic development of children and bring a fresh wave of enthusiasm to the local community.
